Congregations in call process seeking a rostered ministers

The following are congregations in the call process. Not on this list are the numerous congregations and parishes that are not in the call process–normally due to financial capacity. These faith communities, in consultation with the bishop have entered into contracts: with part time interim rostered ministers or vice rostered ministers; or have arranged for pay per service supply ministry.

LutherCare Communities is Seeking Applicants for a variety of Board Opportunities

LutherCare Communities (LCC) is a faith-based organization celebrating more than 60 years of service to the  community and is seeking individuals  interested in sitting on the following Boards:

LutherCare Corporate Board

The primary function of the 12-member Corporate Board is to provide governance oversight and strategic direction to the organizat ion. LCC has over 1200 residents in its care and over 550 employees in:

  • Seniors ‘ housing in Saskatoon, Outlook,  and Estevan
  • Long-term care in Saskatoon
  • Intermediate care homes in Saskatoon
  • Group homes in Saskatoon
  • Home Help program in Saskatoon
  • Low-income family housing in Saskatoon

The annual operating budget of approximately $40 million is a combination of funding from Saskatchewan Health Region , Saskatchewan Housing Corporat ion, Social Services, and fees for services.

Board member terms are four years. The Board meets six times per year. In addition , Board Members are expected to serve on two of the Board ‘ s three Committees (Finance and Audit , Board Governance, and Relationship Review), with meetings as required throughout the year. LCC is primarily a not -fo r-p rofit (NFP) organization and, therefore, board participation is voluntary .

There is also a for-profit arm of the organization governed by two separate Boards of Directors that includes representatives from the NFP Corporate Board of Directors.

LutherCare Holdings Inc. Board

The primary function of the seven-member Board is to provide governance oversight and strategic direction  in alignment with the Corporate Strategic Plan.

LutherCare Village Operations Inc. Board

The primary function of the seven-member Board is to provide governance oversight and strategic direction in alignment  with the Corporate Strategic Plan.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates do not need to be a member of the Lutheran church (ELCIC), but must be dedicated to LCC’s mission of providing excellence in care, shelter, and support in a nurturing Christian environment for all entrusted to our care.

We are seeking people with the following background and qualifications in:

  • Policy governance and setting strategic direction
  • Finance/ accounting with a CPA designation
  • Property management
  • Health care professionals with senior care experience
  • Business management

A current criminal record check  is required.
