The Lay Academy is a program of the four Western synods implemented as an educational arm of Lutheran Theological Seminary.
The academy has two main purposes:
- 1. to equip and empower lay people for ministry in their daily life
- 2. to assist the church in educating authorized lay ministers for the ministry of the Word or service (or Sacrament in certain underserved areas of our church).
